Don’t be left in the dark!  Join Smoky Mountain Center for the Performing Arts for a once-in-a-lifetime event on August 21 as Franklin. NC experiences the “total blackout” of a solar eclipse.  Festivities begin at 11 am with a block party DJ on the front lawn while inside the theatre, watch a live video stream provided by NASA as some of their top scientists share commentary as the eclipse happens.  From 12:30 – 1:30 pm, enjoy a free concert with Mountain Fair Band on the front lawn and more DJ fun from 1:30 – 2:00 pm, all leading up to the climax event at 2:35 pm.
