Bizweek closes out at the Bloemsma Barn with the BizWeek 2019 Banquet.  This year’s schedule keynote speaker is the Honorable Richard G. Sneed, Principal Chief of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians.  Mr. Sneed was elected Vice Chief of the Eastern Band of the Cherokee in September 2015 and ascended to the office of Principal Chief in May 2017.

Prior to becoming Principal Chief, Mr. Sneed was a successful business owner and educator, highlighted by being selected as the National Classroom Teach of the Year by the National Indian Education Association.

“Regional co-operation is essential to economic growth.  As a national and regional leader, Chief Sneed knows the importance of communities working together” said Jenkins.  “His remarks should be insightful and educational.”

In addition, the 2019 BizQeek Honorees will be named for their outstanding contributions to the Macon County business community, as well as, the winner of the 2019 Macon COunty Up & Coming Business Award.
