We get caught up so often in our daily routines, that sometimes we take for granted the things that are most dear to us in this world. Not because we don’t appreciate them, not because we have grown accustomed to them. We’re such a busy society, rushing from here to there, trying to do everything and see everything we can, that we seldom stop, take a seat, and truly soak in the peace and quiet.
It’s that time of year here in Franklin, when the morning is blanketed in an early morning fog that covers the valleys and low country. When the darkness is met with the chorus of cicadas, carrying on the call of the country. We briefly interrupt your regularly scheduled hectic days, your activity filled afternoons and evenings, and that last minute before you settle in to rest up for another busy day tomorrow, for a moment of reflection. That moment when no one knows you take in a deep breath, close your eyes for a split second, hold it… then let it out with a release that will put a smile on your face, even when no one’s looking. Especially when no one is looking.
So let these “Snapshots From Franklin, NC” be your fresh air, take me there; get outside and go for a ride, part of your day that only you know about. The feeling you have when you walk out the door and think, YES, this is where I belong!
And don’t worry, all that stuff on your “to do list”, it’ll be there tomorrow… and so will we!
